Fayette County Fire department`s number one priority is Life Safety. We provide fire suppression to all county residents through the cooperation between 9 all-volunteer county stations and 6 city municipality fire departments. This automatic-type aid, between these departments, ensures a quick response of qualified first responders.

Fayette County Fire department responds to all types of hazardous materials incidents, having both hazardous materials operations and technician level responders. When an incident occurs, we receive tremendous support through the Fayette County Emergency Management Agency (EMA), Fayette County Sheriffs Dept., as well as municipality departments.

Fayette County Fire department strives to provide the citizens of Fayette County up-to-date education on Fire Safety. We have a State of Tennessee sponsored smoke alarm program, which enables citizens to receive a free smoke detector if needed. In 2018, the Fayette County Fire department will be initiating several new programs, such as a “high school age” Fire Reserve program, “Close the Door” campaign, and continuing to increase participation in the smoke alarm program.

Fayette County Fire department thoroughly investigates all fires to determine cause and origin through the support of the Tennessee State Fire Marshal/Fire Investigations office.

Fayette County Fire department EMRs respond to numerous types of medical calls to assist Fayette County EMS in patient care.
