The Fayette County Commission appointed the county’s first Public Records Commission in 2016.
Meeting at least twice each year, the PRC acts upon records disposition requests from county officials.
Records may be approved for destruction or for transfer to County Archives based upon the statutory records retention schedule for each county office.
