Candidate Qualifying Information

The following document lists county offices that are available for candidacy in the May 5, 2026 County Primary Election and the August 6, 2026 County General Election.
Candidates may begin pulling petitions now. The qualifying deadline is February 19, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. (noon).

 

May 5, 2026 – County Primary Election

Early Voting: April 15 – 30, 2026                                                                             

Election Commission Office: 45 Dogwood Lane, Somerville

Early Voting Times:  Mondays – Fridays from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM  and Saturdays from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM 

Satellite Early Voting:  April 23, 24, & 25 at Piperton Baptist Church at 205 E. Old State Line Rd., Piperton on  Thursday, April 23 & Friday, April 24 from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM  and Saturday, April 25 from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Note:  There will be NO voting on Sundays.

August 6, 2026 – State/Federal Primary & County General Election
