Candidate Qualifying Information

The following document lists county offices that are available for candidacy in the May 5, 2026 County Primary Election and the August 6, 2026 County General Election.
Candidates may begin pulling petitions now. The qualifying deadline is February 19, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. (noon).

 

May 5, 2026 – County Primary Election

Early Voting:   April 15 – 30, 2026                                                                                                                                                                       Election Commission Office (45 Dogwood Lane, Somerville)

Early Voting Times:  9:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Mondays – Fridays)                                                                                                                                                                      9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Saturdays)

Satellite Early Voting:  April 23, 24, & 25 at Piperton Baptist Church (205 E. Old State Line Rd., Piperton)                                                                                       9:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Thursday, April 23 & Friday, April 24)                                                                                                                                                                 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Saturday, April 25)

Note:  There will be NO voting on Sundays.
