Requirements

1. Is at least eighteen (18) years of age;
2. Is a citizen of the United States
3. Has a valid Tennessee driver license; and
4. Has previous experience in building maintenance or related field
5. A building maintenance supervisor’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
   1. Janitorial services for general government county buildings
   2. Light to medium repair, which would require some knowledge in carpentry, electrical, painting and plumbing
   3. Coordinate and assist in contracts for building and grounds maintenance services
   4. Develop and manage plans to repair and maintain county buildings
   5. Serve as the focal point for building information and coordinate all repair and maintenance activities through the County Mayor and his office
   6. Plan, organize, assign, inspect, and direct the work of others
   7. Evaluate situations and make coherent decisions
   8. Perform other duties as directed by the County Mayor
6.  Skills that are not essential but would be beneficial:
   1. Express ideas clearly, concisely, and convincingly, both orally and in writing
   2. Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with the public, businesses, industries, volunteers, and employees

Salary and Benefits

Salary range depends on experience and skills ($40,000 – $50,000)
